What is CrossFit?



When thinking about how to explain what CrossFit® is, we like to start with what CrossFit is not:

CrossFit is NOT...
...for people expecting results without hard work
...for people unwilling to try new things
...for people afraid to leave their egos at home

Greg Glassman, a former gymnast, founded CrossFit®, Inc. in 2000. In his years coaching elite athletes, Coach Glassman found that the best way to achieve optimal fitness was not through specialization but rather through “constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity.” In short, this means combining elements of Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, sprinting, rowing and core conditioning to improve overall flexibility, strength, speed, endurance and agility.

The Beauty of our sport is that we are all in it together, motivating one another. It’s a sport where the person last to finish the workout receives more high fives than the person first to finish.

You can read all you want about our definitions but to truly understand you just have to jump in and give it a try.

About Reebok CrossFit Robust

Reebok CrossFit Robust  is a decent fitness coaching facility , located in South Delhi, India (Opposite defence Colony Market). We offer group and individual coaching, utilizing the CrossFit methodology. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, rowing) executed at high intensity.



What we do

So what does that really mean? It means that at Reebok CrossFit Robust you will not find  stationary bikes and weight machines. Instead you will find pull-up bars, kettlebells and  barbells  for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing – moving your body the way it is meant to be moved. It means that all your workouts will be comprised of exercises that mimic movements performed in day-to-day life or sport. You would never bicep curl your child to pick them up, so why would you do it in the gym? We focus on improving functional movements that are necessary and common in your daily activities.

It also means that you will never get bored. With our constantly varied programming you will rarely do the same workout twice in any given year. You will never have to program your own workouts or spend hours in the gym. Instead, each day a workout will be provided for you that is scalable to suit your fitness level. And because our workouts are rarely longer than 40 minutes they can fit into even the busiest schedules.

Our fitness programming aims to improve your capacity in ten recognized fitness domains cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The result is comprehensive physical fitness and restored vitality.

GETTING STARTED

You can get started by scheduling your free trial session with us. This can be booked through prior appointment by calling us on +918800775924.

We, at Reebok CrossFit Robust believe in providing all the necessary support and guidance to our newcomers while keeping up with the energy and focus required towards our existing members in the ongoing sessions. Hence, we encourage you to opt for Monday, Wednesday or Friday for your trial class as both our coaches are present on these days to brief you and guide you through the fundamentals of CrossFit. That doesn’t mean that you don’t get to try what our members do! We believe in the philosophy of one workout for all. Hence, the presence of two coaches helps us merge you with the group in a manner that is most comfortable for you.

For the same reasons we advice our Beginners to join us 3 times a week by subscribing to our limited membership for 3 months. The first one or two months we encourage you to join us every Monday, Wednesday and Friday when both our coaches are present. In addition to learning all of the essential movements to ensure your success with our regular group classes, you will also receive instruction on proper warm-up techniques, mobility and flexibility, and proper nutrition. Once you’re comfortable, you may chose to drop in on whichever day you like and later continue with a limited or unlimited membership by choosing from our available membership plans.

Membership Pricing

We program your workouts for you, instruct movements daily, offer nutritional and programming advice if desired, and guide you through scaling and developments in your workouts every time you walk in the door. You cannot compare our group class prices to private training rates as you are in a group class and essentially are getting private training at the fraction of the cost.

If you take full advantage of what CrossFit Robust has to offer we believe you get every penny worth what you spend.

Visiting CrossFit Robust?

If you are just passing through town or wants to visit us for a trial, we charge a fee of INR 1000 per session. If you are planning on being here for a week or so feel free to contact us and we can work with you depending on how frequently you think you will be attending classes. Please plan to arrive five minutes before scheduled class time.

  • 30,000INR + Taxes for 6 Months.
  • 52,000INR + Taxes for 12 Months.

Limited Classes (Thrice in a Week)

  • 25,000INR + Taxes for 6 Months.
  • 42,000INR + Taxes for 12 Months.
